TechNoir wrote:It would be nice if the player could find the locations on his own, without the fast-travel or "move in that direction" marker bullshit. For example, Metal tells you the address of the abandoned factory, then you look at the map of the city, find the address "M District, blahblahblah" and move right there.
UPD: Here's a really roughly made sketch.

hikage : There was a reason I made the "Turbocycle" drivable/flayable, and designed bigger maps...lol!
*I thought this was made clear in the videos I've been posting of the Turbocycle? I guess not lol!*

TechNoir : I made many sketches like yours on the subject (and others)...maybe I'll share them sometime?
The main issue is that some people don't want to "Manually" drive/fly, and some like us want to.
In the original game it was %100 "Auto-Pilot", and took you to the location, and parked you in front of where you needed to be.
I want "Auto-Pilot" to be included for those who don't wish to drive/fly on their own (like the original).
I want to have to find the locations myself as well, so for that I want a "Manual" drive/fly option.
In the original game they mentioned the "Turbocycle" has BOTH features (in the Turbocycle over-run section).
Currently it's %100 "Manual" drive/fly for the "Turbocycle" though, because I haven't programmed any features lol!
The other problem is that it would basically mean one "option" gives the player more "help" than the other (auto = more "help").
Of course any Snatcher fan could randomly drive/fly around and find the locations, since we all know what they look like lol!
You could also have a simple "turn off markers" etc. type option(s) in addition to "Manual" and "Auto" drive/fly modes.
There are many gameplay related issues I've been considering/related to this, as you can see if you think about it.
I mentioned something similar about the "Turbocycle" in the "non-linear" Snatcher discussion/thread.

It's an issue I'm still looking at, so I'd love to hear more opinions on the subject.
