Hmm, wouldn't be cool if mgs1 sported redone graphics with MGS2 engine? Or at least the choice to select Twin Snakes' voice acting?

To their credit, Substance had more lagging than SoL, and the reason they gave was longer time to access disc, due to all the extra the filled in it.Jonathan Ingram wrote:Don't you love the way that they complain of a 'lack of disc space' then go on and release an expanded game still on a single disc?

Same here. My PS2 is practically dead. And I'm not going to buy a new one, so it's going to have to last about another year until the PS3 releases.Finalfantasy7 wrote:It is easily going to be a duel layered., which will give them twice the space but slow speed. Any many PS2s have trouble reading duel layered discs because the laser has seen lots of use.
I would love for them to have 2 single layered DVDs

Well, after all it was not single disc, but THREE discs! Yay!
by the way, here's a nice coverage of ALL the content you'll find in Subsistence:
http://www.gamespot.com/news/2005/09/18 ... 33818.html
Subsistence, Persistence and Existence discs, complete with secret theaters and snake erases. ^_^

The official website has been up for two days now. :p

3rd disc available only in first edition!!
The MSX versions aren't -really- the MSX versions but rather the cell phone remakes, with which I really have no problem with of course. There are e few differences, the most noticeable may be the change of character avatars (Sean Connery as Big Boss, for example) and the larger dialogue window in MG2: Solid Snake.
You get to play the epic battle between Snake and ULTRABOX (which is also in MGS, but this time they're not calling themselves ULTRABOX, since it's too cool a name)among other epicness filled epic battles, such as an epic pigeon chase and fooling guards into believing it's night already using an owl, so they deactivate their laser sensors and you can slip in unnoticed! Pure gold.
The 3rd disc of Subsistence seems to contain not just the cutscenes of MGS3 (that'd be simply the Demo Thater Mode) edited together, but also what happens between cutscenes ! Which means an actual MGS movie!

They still advertise the 3-disc edition in the English version of the website, that's why I assume it's going to be brought out overseas, but of course, there still are no certainties...So far the exsistence disc will only be released in Japan in a limted edition so far

I thought this was Snake Eater: the movie...
As dirty as Dirty Harry, as dangerous as Deliverance. Oh yes.
