You ever seen Interstella 5555?
Kojima Games: Snatcher, Policenauts, Metal Gear, ZOE and Boktai

You'll love the Final Cut, all the changes were necessary and it's a lot more bloody! Go out and have some fun, wear your Deckard coat if you've got one.Snatcher wrote:Is someone around the LA area? Or will be this weekend for the screening? Just checking, maybe I'll get to meet at least one of you this weekend.
One of my cousins saw it there last week. He said the screen was tiny and the place was packed, but it was still great.87th wrote:If I had money to spare, I'd get the bus to Edinburgh and watch it over there on Friday. Sadly, that's not the case.
Fuck. Sorry to hear that, mate.Henry Spencer wrote:Due to insufficient funding (unemployment, X Mas gifts etc etc), I couldn't get to the Liverpool screening.
I think I'm in the same boat as you. Unemployed, and squeezing every penny. I'm supposed to hear back from a company in the next couple of days, but I don't expect to get the job (despite really wanting it). If I'm unsuccessful, I'll apply to some dreadful call centre or supermarket. It'll be crap, but it'll be money; something that looks more beautiful to me every day.Henry Spencer wrote:Thanks for the sympathy guys I mean, I'm sure it's the case with 87th as well, that the DVD set is the top of my Christmas list.
Do you enjoy going to the Job Centre as much as I do? I make a meal out of everything, so I have to dance my way there and back.I think I'm in the same boat as you. As for the Final Cut? Yes; I'd love it for Christmas, but I doubt I'll get it since I've agreed with everyone that I won't be getting them anything for Christmas this year (subtly giving them permission not to buy me anything for Christmas, while not making them think that I'll refuse anything they plan to buy me).
Since you live so close by, you must have seen me in Manchester centre. I need your help, man. Again, I reiterate... Big Issue.jcgamer60 wrote:lol, sure it is
I'm being stupid. I'm not claiming benefits. I'm using savings that I've had since I was 5. Another couple of months of unemployment, and I'll have to start selling things to pay rent and tax.Henry Spencer wrote: Do you enjoy going to the Job Centre as much as I do? Currently, I'm working voluntarily in a charity shop; you have to work at no more than 16 hours to claim benefit, so that's how it goes. Go to charity shop from the morning to afternoon, for four hours work every weekday except Thursday. Honestly, I've been looking that long for a job now (which I might mention all employers are wishful for experienced office workers), that it just feels good to be working and getting out of the house, even if it is for a bit! My friends are all at university, so it gets very boring lately. I try to make the most of my time whilst I am at home with my family.
Guess this is just a stepping stone in my life; experience boredom in its greatest form, before getting a job. Soon, Timothy, soon. (Due to the excessive boredom, and enclosed environment, I developed my own friends.)
What's the job you're looking for? I'm just looking for anything general office work really (administrator, data entry, file clerk; that sort of shit just to get my first foot in the door, as a way of gaining experience).
Yes, that sounds good, but do you actually get to play those games?87th wrote: Basically, my job would consist of going on forums and suggesting that 'game X' or 'console Y' is really good, while assuming the role of 'average joe z'. I could work from anywhere, do as much work as I want and earn quite a pretty penny for it
You actually won a chance to meet Daltrey? That's some good luck man. Can you please tell us how did you meet him? Please uncle 87th!87th wrote: If I get the job, I'll feel as lucky as I did when I won the chance to meet Roger Daltrey.
Not at the start. The first while will all be research based, but I know guys who work there. Apparently they get to do Beta testing for online games, if Sony like them enough. Apparently a couple of them have met Phil Harrison through their work. It's all very exciting stuff, for me.RandommodnaR wrote:Yes, that sounds good, but do you actually get to play those games?87th wrote: Basically, my job would consist of going on forums and suggesting that 'game X' or 'console Y' is really good, while assuming the role of 'average joe z'. But, in your case, for 8 pounds an hour (which comes off as about 48 pesos), i wouldn't give a DAMN!
