Gray Fox's helmet color and Ocelot's arm-band

Post by Spike »

Two dumb questions :

- Gray Fox's helmet in MGS1 (in-game and artworks) seemed blue to me. But his action figure's, Mr X's and his TTS incarnation's ones are all white. So was it white in the original game (and the blue on the helmet would actually be a reflection of the blue on his exoskeleton) or not ? If that was not the case, why did they change that ?

- What's the meaning of the black arm-band Ocelot always wear ? Is it related to the Spetsnaz ?

The helmet thing is something I've always noticed too. I think it was actually supposed to be white in the PS1 MGS1 but it looked blue due to the textures they used. Pretty lame theory, but it works.

A black armband is a sign of mourning.

It's also known as a crepe. Victor wears one in Policenauts, too.
