One guy actually said that he was going to chainsaw someone for asking a question...I love it here. Thanks, everyone! There's a lot of crap going on, so I thought I'd give you guys a little heads up on how everything works around here...(imagine a campy 50's style educational voice for full effect) We have many types of posters on these boards, some are good, some are new, some are n00b's, and some are hackers. Here's a helpful guide to figure out, (pause for dramatic effect) Who's who...
1. The good guys:
These are guys who are willing to help you get stronger in your skills, they have powerful characters, and may run password protected teaching games to make you a stronger player. They defend the down-trodden, build up those with potential, and silence hackers with skill, not a large amount of posts. There are very few of these on the boards, but if you find one, befriend them, do NOT bother them...
2. The new guys:
These are players who have recently purchased the game. They wish to become better players, and should be nurtured, as such. The proper way to deal with them is not to get frustrated, but to encourage. Instead of saying things like "1mma c0m3 at yoo w17h a Ch41n54w," you might want to try something like "Use the lock-on, go into first person mode, then aim up a little, for perfect headshots." They're only one step away from becoming wonderful players, and it is up to you to help them.
3. The n00b's:
These are the most foul members on the boards. They will try to encourage you to believe their foul lies. some of the most famous ones will attempt to persuade you that they have new, hacked characters. "I have Grey Fox, I have Ninja Raiden...ect. The proper way to deal with these losers is to ignore them completely. Do not even post on their pointless "I have" topics. You will only be adding fuel to the fire. Another fine example of these morons is that they will often belittle other players in order to make themselves feel good . (see: Troll)
4. The Hackers:
This is an interesting group...some are good, some are evil, and some are clueless. The good hackers are ones who skin hack characters obtainable in difficult ways. No one wants to buy a plane ticket to London in order to get the guy with the Duck Camouflage. These people are fine, and should not be referred to as bad. Bad hackers are ones who change the stats of their characters. Taking 5 headshots is not natural. These players should be booted immediately. If they come on these boards and call you out for unfair booting, reply calmly, so that you don't become a n00b yourself.
So, with that in mind, stay calm and happy, ignore n00bs, boot hackers and enjoy!

I thought you might get a kick out of this...everyone's nice here, and it's like bizarro world over there, so I wrote this helpful guide to get them to shut up...Enjoy!
Life and Death hang in perfect balance...I'm only here to tip the scales.
Gamefaqs' boards are a wasteland of stupid. Reading any post is like a punch to the brainstem.
I think it's cos most big games have a number of dedicated message boards for it if you just google or something (DDR/music, fighters, RPGs, Kojima, etc.) but only the people who don't know any better don't venture beyond gamefaqs.
