Well, You probably know who Ron Gilbert is.. the creator of Monkey Island and several other great games. I just mention Monkey Island since I love that series =).
Today I stumbled across his blog (Grumpy Gamer) and I was delighted with several things I read there. I will go on reading, since I just started. But what this post is about is his entry on Why Adventure Games Suck
And What We Can Do About It. I know Snatcher is not strictly and Adventure game.. but it certainly shares a lot with that genre (and so does Policenauts and other Digital Manga games, as the great Phoenix Wright).
The thing is, the document is a set of rules he wrote in 1989 that define what he follows creating a game, and I found several point very interesting and valid.
Give it a read and tell me what you think, if you feel like it =P

From the mathematical perspective, consciousness might be regarded as a second derivative of sensation.
