Could I get a file containing the extra dialog from the PC-9821 version of the game?

I don't know what kind of answer you are expecting... but anything that is not available .. is simply not available. If it is not in the site, it has not been done.

Well then, would you be so kind as to wright that dialog down in English and send it to me in the form of a text document? I would grateful.

That is not exactly the easiest request to fulfill. And what exactly would you be planning to do with the extra dialogue anyway?

I plan to insert it into my PSX copy of the game.

Heh, if you really do have the skills to even do that, make sure to tell me how the text is compressed, because I'm having a hell of a hard time figuring it out.

How much longer is the voice-track for the PC-9821 version?

No one is going to go out of their way for you until you present physical evidence that you can accomplish the goals that you have set out.

I'm just asking how many extra minutes of speech are in the PC-9821 version.

It's not that easy to determine. It's not like sticking into a CD player and looking at the time. All of it would have to be extracted and then counted for anyone to know. Now you know what you need to do. Chop chop.

The PC98 version has a total of 8 hours of dialogue in it.

Jeez. I'm just asking! But If I came across as being rude I’m sorry.

I need to know how much dialog is in the console version because I need to know how much I'll be dubbing. (I don't think I'll succeed at this but it's worth a try.)

I would estimate the console versions have at least 6 hours of dialogue in them, but even this varies slightly. The 3DO version has slightly less than the PS version, and the PS version has slightly less than the Saturn version.

And how do you expect to extract the extra dialogue from the PC98 version, translate it, dub it, and insert it into a game that doesn't make allowances for it? You have no idea how impossible that is - it would be like trying to squeeze a basketball into a beer bottle.

Thanks for showing me the light Marc. I'll just (make an attempt) to dub the dialog that's already in the game. Also 6 hours is a pretty damn good amount of speech in my opinion.

So, it's been a couple of weeks now - how's your project coming along?

And by the way, the content of the PC98 version is different from the later versions in that it doesn't have any anime scenes. Everything takes place "in-game", and a lot of the extra dialogue relates to areas that were replaced with anime scenes afterwards.

Don't laugh but not so well at all. I gave up on it last week because all the people I cast had crappy voices that didn't fit the characters. I decided to get back on top of it about 3 days ago but I threw away the old voices so now I'm back in the casting stage.

I thought you said your family members were going to play the parts?

And don't you think you should concentrate on the technical side (the hacking) before you bother with casting?
