			No, he got a new one (after it was repackaged with the Dual Shock). It still draws in heat, but he always keeps it unplugged when he's not using it. They might have fixed the heat-->skipping problem, but it still draws in heat. 			I got a new one when i turned 7 (must have been back in 1998) and since then it haven´t exprienced any over heating issues and i have a modchip in it so i can play imported games and yet no problems
