PS3 is delayed to March 2007 in Europe, while America & Japan get´s it in November. Your opinion?

I knew from the anouncement of the PS3 date, that Sony chould´ent keep thier promise

Because if you feel the unit, it continues to draw in heat even when not switched on.

If you get a PS3, I'd recommend considering it.

The heat problem is even more pronounced in the PS1. Try leaving it plugged in for a while and feel how warm the back gets.

I hope the problem was rectified with the slimline versions.

I've had no disc read errors of any kind with the slimline so far and I've had it several months now.

Really? A friend of mine had the same problem and he didn't buy his until a few years afterwards (around '99 or so).

No, he got a new one (after it was repackaged with the Dual Shock). It still draws in heat, but he always keeps it unplugged when he's not using it. They might have fixed the heat-->skipping problem, but it still draws in heat. He didn't want to take a chance to find out.
