I always think of SD Snatcher as a sequel of sorts.

My story may seem cliché but here are a few of the highlights: The evil creatures were mutated versions of the germs from Lucifer alpha. They had used worm holes to stop the JUNKER's hovercraft from reaching the snatcher factory so they could kill them in an alternate universe. The worm holes malfunctioned however and the JUNKERS crashed in Siberia. After killing most of the germs Gillian and Miranda return to Neo Kobe to destroy the rest of the germs. They germs are killed but Miranda is the thing that makes them come back to life. In order to make the germs stay down Gillian shoots Miranda. The story ends with Gillian still holding Miranda's dead body in his arms, sobbing relentlessly.

Worm holes? Alternate universes?!
What the heck man. That doesn't belong in Snatcher. In none of Kojima's works, actually.

Oh come on! I thought you’d be complaining about the ending! I didn't make a tragic finale for no reason!

If that's what you consider tragic then somebody needs to have a serious sit-down with you. I thought it was funny as hell.

In fact, I think the story could work if you spun it into a satire on fan-fiction in general. Throw a couple of InuYasha characters, an awkward sex scene, and some lame attempts at slapstick humor and you could have something interesting.

Wow... just WOW. :???: Did you write the script for the Dead Or Alive movie as well?

Judging by your sig, your head exploded after you thought about this and your disembodied soul is communicating with us from beyond the grave :o . That's more tragic than anything.

It was a knock on both InuYasha and the seemingly endless amounts of InuYasha fanfiction.

For April Fools this year, I was to make a muckup of Snatcher 2 under the tentative title "Bioroid" complete with screenshots, which was a sequel to Snatcher and had crossover references to Metal Gear/ Solid, like the cameo appearance of Solid Snake (under Foxhound still, this Solid Snake would have no plotwise relation to Metal Gear Solid) somewhere.

The story would follow both Gillian and a remodeled MG Mk 22 along with a couple of new main characters from the new Junker Operations Team, and this team would have a permanent contact with Junker HQ via a new nanomachine technology based communication system. Foxhound would later adapt this system as their own, after their mutual encounter in Moscow.

I was also thinking of a section of the game devoted to Randam Hajile, from the moment he was activated, to his first contact with Jean Jacques Gibson during Gibson's investigation. Here, Randam Hajile would sport his long hair still, shortly before he looks himself in the mirror to a "ugh" and cuts it down. This little moment would serve to establish the difference in character to Elijah Madnar... There would also be a an actual battle between Jean Jacques and Randam Hajile in an abandoned construction site before they finally come to an agreement. Randam Hajile is for all official purposes a criminal. He is an independent Snatcher killer, but some reason, killing Snatchers without being a Junker operative or a registered bounty hunter is a felony (the reason is, of course, that the exact number of Bounty Hunters must be accounted for tactical reasons..... the Snatcher themselves must know how many are there). Jean Jacques is convinced that Randam is a Snatcher, because he saw an exposed wound during the battle. Randam also finds out he's a Bioroid at this point. In confusion, Randam threatens Jacques, and demands a legalization of Bounty Hunter status for his life. Jacques refuses at first, but Randam tells him he knows everything about his daughter, and it wouldn't be a stretch at all to track her down.
Jacques agrees, not because he fears for his daughter's life, but because he admires the obsessive lengths Randam is willing to go in order to terminate as much Snatchers as possible. Considering this, Jacques knows that Randam's threat is probably a desperate bluff and accepts. He still thinks Randam is quite a dangerous fellow anyway (the exposed wound revealing a titanium joint) and keeps tabs on him.

Anyway, back in the present, in Moscow, Junker has to track down and destroy the Bioroid production factory. The Junker Team, without Gillian (who stays on the aircraft carrier/HQ) infiltrates the complex and is ambushed by a strange new kind of mass produced Bioroids that can change by touching the target and assuming its appearance, rendering the artificial skin system totally obsolete. These machines are almost organic in appearance while in neutral form and kill most of the team, who pulls back while under attack...
(At this point, several Bioroids managed to infiltrate the aircraft by assuming the form of injured soldiers and a few others during the retreat)

To detect this kind of Bioroid, there's a new system, called LIQUID friggin EYE SYSTEM! That tells you if the body temperature and density of the person is the one of a human or not. But careful kids! Some Bioroids can emulate a human body almost to perfection!
To resolve this problem, just shoot the sucka in case of doubt.

Or, after Snake arrives, ask him his opinion!

Yes, the new OPINION system! It's efectiveness depends on Snake's level of booze in his bloodstream, or how high he is from the MINT CIGS. It is shown in percentage on the top right of the screen. Be sure to pay attention to it! Just press the R3 button repeatedly to infinitely pester Snake to get his OPINION.
Just be wary not to push it, because you risk having Snake apply CQC on poor Gillian. In some cases, Snake will hold Gillian at knife point and interrogate him. In these instances you have the chance to get some insights on Gillian's dirty secrets and private details of Jamie. You may choose to BREAK HOLD, but it is not recommended. It rarely works, since Snake would threaten Gillian by forcing him on an unskippable CODEC talk with Rose for over six hours. This would kill your rank due to time lost, and also kill the player himself.

For example:

BOOZE: 30%
CIGS: 76%

In this situation I'd say it's pretty safe, although you would still risk Snake telling you that the suspect is a Telemarketeer, which is an automatic kill ( ie.: no need to choose the SHOOT SUSPECT option. Snake does it himself).

After the first mission completion attempt failed, the new Junker chief asks for the assistance of Foxhound. The Junker Captain leading the Moscow operation is appalled by this decision, since he doesn't think too highly of Foxhound.

"They're jerks", he sez.

Yeah...

Of course, the new Bioroid model was the one to be used at a worldwide scale, after the results of the field test in Neo Kobe. That model was just a beta version of sorts.

And so on. There are a lot more details, but at this point, the game would be scrapped, because Konami's CEO told Shinji Mikami he'd rather write the script himself, and at that point, Kojima stepped into the office, roundhoused the CEO and Shinji in the face, took a rocket launcher with a missile with "NO PLACE FOR SNATCHER" written in blood on it out of his backpocket and shot the beta test version and script to pieces, blowing up the closet sized development room up to the stratosphere. This reminded Kojima, who just finished developing Policenauts, it was about time to start Metal Gear Solid. The Stinger battle in MGS was a reference to this incident. He also decided to use that tagline No place for [something], somewhere in the future....

Ah the memories, says Kojima today, looking back...

edit: ...looking back at all this, I don't think it's all that brilliant, but hey! The screenshots were the selling point!

As for Jamie id like to see jennifer connely but with dyed hair, mika= Sean young from blade runner always reminded me of mika, most likely the hair. Katrina maybe jessica biel or jessica alba.. ill think of more.
I was watching Sin City the other day and it dawned on me. Clive Owen would make a perfect Gillian!
